Squirrel

Do you Squirrel? 

This is a women's scramble recreational pickleball play date for any skill level of player.  You do not need a partner to sign up for this event. This is a single night event - no long term commitments.

How it works:

Five to seven players are assigned to one court for a 15-minute game. The extra player(s) stand on the sideline during rallies. When a player makes a rally ending mistake, they squirrel out, and the extra player squirrels into their spot.  No scores are kept to focus on improvement and remove performance anxiety.

Why players like it:

• It's a safe space.

• Players aren't concerned about being criticized by their partner because no score is kept.

• It removes performance anxiety.

• It allows players to let go of the worry of what the score is and to focus on shots. 

• Players  aren't concerned about playing perfectly to win the game.

• It allows players to play with players of varying skill levels.

• It allows players to "try" shots that they wouldn't try in a regular game.

• It's an excellent cardio workout because there is constant movement.
